Good Morning - Tuesday 4.22.25 - National Bunny, Egg, & BBQ Day Easter happened this past weekend. Easter baskets for the kids definitely have Christmas stocking stuffer vibes—you get candy and small toys that are kind of cool, but you didn't exactly ask for them. Honestly, we need to make all these holidays three-day weekends. Holiday recovery days should absolutely be the new norm.
This weeks grind:
Joe Coffee: Making a Carajillo with the Ready to use Espresso
Coffee Reigns Supreme: ‘Mericans sipping more coffee than ever.
Flash Frozen Coffee: Proud Mary Coffee Goes in for the Deep Freeze
Last week we teased about a new ‘ready-to-use’ espresso in a bottle. Joe Coffee says they have mastered the art of bottling espresso so you can get turnt on caffeine without pulling shots.
The moment I saw this product I thought about making the carajillo with hit. It’s simple to make, but done right it’s one of the best coffee cocktails out there. 2 shots of espresso and 1 shot of Licor 43. Shake the hell out of it and pour over ice. Garnish with an orange peel. If you are a cigar lover then this will be your new fav starter drink.
Check out the video above. I whip up this cocktail using this espresso in a bottle. Enjoy.
It definitely doesn’t run on Dunkin’. There was a time many years ago when I thought a large coffee w/ cream and sugar from Dunkin’ was THE best. We’re dumb in our 20s. We don’t know what’s good yet. Now I’m all grown up and that sugar bomb with a side of coffee is NOT even close to being the best.

Coffee McGregger stumbled across these “Cometeer” flash-frozen coffee pods. I remember trying them out for a podcast episode, but after doing over 80 episodes, I honestly can't recall which one featured this specific coffee delivery system. The coffee itself was tasty and incredibly easy to prepare—just boil some water, pour it over the frozen coffee puck, and watch it dissolve.
By the way, we HAVE reviewed Proud Mary Coffee before. We sampled their delicious brews on Episode 57, and you can give it a listen right here.
Proud Mary has teamed up with U.S.-based Cometeer to launch a line of flash-frozen coffee capsules. This collaboration aims to deliver barista-quality coffee in a convenient format, preserving the nuanced flavors of Proud Mary's beans through Cometeer's innovative freezing technology. By flash-freezing brewed coffee into recyclable aluminum capsules, the partnership seeks to offer consumers a high-quality coffee experience that maintains the integrity of the original brew.
This venture reflects a growing trend in the coffee industry towards innovative preservation methods that extend the shelf life of premium coffee without compromising taste. Proud Mary's move into the flash-frozen market positions them alongside other forward-thinking roasters exploring new ways to reach customers beyond traditional café settings. As the demand for convenient yet high-quality coffee options rises, such collaborations may become increasingly common, reshaping how consumers access and enjoy specialty coffee.
We’ve been known to stray away from coffee talk during these podcasts. We strayed long enough to ask a very serious question. Who has the best fast food chicken? Reply to this email and let us know who’s frying up the best bird?
P.S. During the filming of this episode I had yet to try Raising Cane’s. In 2025 my NEW ANSWER is Canes.
